The Virginia Aquarium opened its new South Building earlier this year and we had the good fortune to produce and shoot the commercial for the launch. Have a look and make plans to visit.

We recently had the opportunity to spend time with Grammy-nominated musician Michael Marquart to talk about his musical career spanning more than four decades. Michael talks about growing up in Wisconsin, his time with bands Tokio Rose and Flock of Seagulls, and his own solo career. Though he’s collaborated and produced for a variety of recording artists including Coldplay, Justin Timberlake and Kendrick Lamar, he now devotes all his energies to writing and recording his own music. We also hear from director Derrick Borte who talks about his collaboration with Michael on his music videos. This work is now on WHRO’s Curate show, and of course here as well. The Presidential Heads

On a farm/quarry outside Williamsburg 43 presidential heads sit together in a field rescued by the man who was hired to destroy them. At nearly 20 feet tall the heads are a magnet for photogs and others drawn to their bizarre countenance decaying in this field of dreams. Ozzy Osborne has been to see them, marriages have been proposed, and people have flown from around the world just have a look. For more, check out the piece we filmed for WHRO’s Curate series.
